Puerto de Mazarron

Puerto de Mazarrón is located 6km from Mazarrón town, right on the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea, in a coastal plain that ends up forming the Gulf of Mazarrón, which is enclosed by the Tiñoso and Cope capes. A wonderful climate, with high temperatures in summer and moderate during the rest of the year as well as its extensive line of beaches, small coves and cliffs make Puerto de Mazarrón one of the tourist enclaves of the so-called Costa Cálida in the Region of Murcia.

In recent years the area has grown so much, that it exceeds that of Mazarrón in size and currently has approximately 11,000 inhabitants, a number that is multiplied by ten in the summer season. The central port area has an abundance of bars and restaurants as well as a wide variety of shops and boutiques, plus art galleries, a library, medical centre, primary and secondary schools, pharmacies, garden centres, supermarkets, hotels and indoor and outdoor markets, not to mention the fantastic Marina and beautiful palm-tree lined promenade. In Puerto de Mazarrón there is everything needed for a perfect life in the sun overlooking the mediterranean sea.

CENTRAL:

Properties located here are situated about a 5 to 10 minute walk away from the first of the Ports many stunning beaches along with its wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants, a medical centre, bus station and a popular Sunday market, not to mention the fantastic Marina and beautiful palm-tree lined promenade.

LA CUMBRE:

This area is a quiet suburb that is in an elevated central location in the Port. From here, it is only a 10-minute walk or a couple of minutes drive to the Promenade, the Marina, and the centre of the port with all its amenities.

BAHIA:

Bahia is a large area of the Port, being just minutes from the beach of Bahia, which is regarded by many as the best beach in the area! Depending on where the property is located it could be only a 5 minute walk to the promenade.

FRONT LINE:

As the name implies these are frontline properties, meaning they have uninterrupted sea views. This location is very sought after due to these amazing sea views with its diverse landscapes from the rocky coastline and wide sand beaches to the dramatic mountains that surround the town. With its proximity to all amenities, including the Port with all its lovely beaches and restaurants and only a 2-minute stroll with your towel to the beach it is a popular area.

EL FARO:

Very popular due to its elevated position, which occupies one of the most prominent positions in the Port, above the Marina, close to the Lighthouse (as the name El Faro suggests) and Statue Of Christ, which has a dedication platform high up on the rocks overlooking the Port, the Bay of Mazarrón and beyond. As well as that, its proximity to all amenities and only being a 3 minute stroll with your towel, down through the suburb of the Port to the beautiful beach and palm-lined promenade.

EL ALCOLAR:

This popular area is mainly residential and depending on the property´s location, it could be only an 8-minute walk to the Promenade, leading to the Marina and the centre of the port with all its amenities. The beach is even closer!

EL ALAMILLO:

A little bit further out of the port, but still within walking distance of the Paseo with all its lovely restaurants and bars, El Alamillo is a mainly residential area and depending on the property´s location, you could be only minutes away from the small commercial area of Alamillo, where you will find bars, restaurants, a small supermarket, a post office, a chemist, as well as Cafe Buenavista Social Club which offers access to a communal swimming pool and tennis courts (for a small fee) and has wonderful front line views to the glorious beaches of the Bay of Mazarrón from its front terrace.
