Bolnuevo
Situated on a long sandy beach in the bay of Mazarrón, around 6km from the town itself, it was originally a peaceful, sheltered fishing bay, and has retained much of the peaceful and traditional charm of old.
The whole surrounding area is carved out of the rugged landscape forming individual sandy coves and beachheads of outstanding beauty which you can explore. For those who want to get out and explore the great outdoors, there are three Natural Parks nearby, suitable for hiking and walking excursions.
In Bolnuevo, one of the main symbols of the municipality is found, the geological formations known as "Las Gredas" or "The Enchanted City", with rocky mushrooms several metres high and a rocky wall modelled with similar shapes.
The village has a traditional appeal about it and has everything you need, including supermarkets, several restaurants and small bars, including seafood, tapas and traditional choices, and also a Chinese and Wok restaurant, and a restaurant serving traditional British dishes.
